Make your salary work for whales and dolphins through payroll giving
Information for employees
Giving to WDCS through your salary is an easy way to make regular tax efficient donations. If you pledge a donation to WDCS through payroll giving, money is taken out of your earnings before any tax and national insurance deductions.
Of every £1.00 you earn, you will receive 80p and 20p will go to the Inland Revenue (20% tax payers). But if you make a charitable donation before deductions are taken, that 20p goes to the charity of your choice.
To donate £10.00 to WDCS will cost you just £8.00 of your net salary. If you pay 40% tax, your £10.00 donation will cost you just £6.00 of your net salary.
Has your employer signed up for payroll giving? Contact your personnel department to find out.

Information for Employers
Setting up a payroll giving scheme at your workplace can help build employee relations and shows your commitment to charitable works. The scheme is easy to run, involves minimal staff time and any costs incurred can be deducted against profits.
Charitable donation deductions work in the same way as pension or other deductions. Employers can visit the HMRC website for full details of payroll giving. For more information from WDCS please contact: payroll.giving@wdcs.org
