You don't have to go overseas, there are lots of exciting challenges in the UK!
Participating in one of our UK challenges will give you the perfect opportunity to see some of the most stunning countryside in the British Isles and gain a lasting sense of achievement. Not only will you be testing yourself physically and mentally but you will also be helping to fund WDCS’s work.
Here are some of the trips that are on offer....
Spire 2 Spire Trekathon (21 August 2010): Trek over a marathon distance (26 miles) between Winchester and Salisbury linking two of England's most famous and impressive cathedrals. Book online here.
Hadrian's Wall Trek (10th September 2010 & 3rd June 2011): Trek 25 miles alongside the remaining parts of this famous landmark over a weekend. Book online here.
Jurassic Coast Weekend (8th October 2010 & 13 May 2011): Trek 23 miles along the South West Coastal path from Durlston Head to Durdle Door. Book online here.
London to Paris Cycle (1st September 2010 & 4th May 2011): Spend an amazing four days taking part in one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Book online here.
London to Geneva (1st September 2010 & 4th May 2011): For those who want the ultimate cycle challenge, continue from Paris and cycle all the way to Geneva! Book online here.
Lands End to John O'Groats (28th September2010 & 3rd May 2011): Cycle the furthest possible distance in the British Isles, almost 1000 miles in 12 days! Book online here.
Sailing Challenge (8th September 2010 & 11th May 2011): Help sail a classic 46ft racing yawl from Poole to the Channel Islands in September. Book online here.
There are lots more events on offer throughout Europe, so give us a call to discuss what sort of challenge event you might like to do for WDCS. You can tell us what time and financial restrictions you have, how much money you think you can realistically raise for a challenge event, and we'll try our best to find an event that suits you!
The Events Team are always on hand to help you reach your fundraising targets by helping you to create and use your own online-fundraising page, to help with ideas for offline fundraising and to help you promote what you are doing locally. Participants will receive a personalised T-shirt and a fundraising pack.
