What price for Iceland's future

Okay so now Iceland will have to decide what is more important. A secure financial future in the EU or a single greedy individual dragging Iceland through 'bloody seas' for his own financial reward.

It seems the German parliament has now voted to allow Iceland to begin accession talks with the EU with the prospect of final EU membership for Iceland. The German's have however made it clear that they will not welcome Iceland's whaling.

For those who have followed these blogs to date will know that the EU better get its act together and sort its voting procedures out, else its going to end up allowing Icelandic whaling through the IWC and then have to tell Iceland to stop whaling when it joins the EU.
