WDCS will hold countries accountable

Author - CEO

Whilst WDCS is working closely with pro-conservation countries at the IWC, we shall also hold those countries accountable if they fail to do right by the whales. Whilst the EU has been holding its meetings in private we don't believe that countries shall be able to hide their positions on each of the votes behind a so-called 'common EU position'.

WDCS shall seek to let the world know what is going on. The people of the European Union deserve the transparancy of knowing who is voting for, and who is voting against the conservation of whales.

If the EU abstains on the Greenland vote, this will deliver the quota request and more whales will die, opening up a potential future of massive quota increases. Those who force such a position on the EU will have sold the whales short.

WDCS shall be a voice for the whales!
