Author - CEO

If you have not had the chance please take a few minutes to go and see The BBC Green Room features WDCS's Erich Hoyt. Erich is a research fellow and Critical Habitat/MPA Programme lead for WDCS.

'As the world marks the first UN Oceans Day, marine scientist Erich

life. In this week's Green Room, he explains why vast protected areas
are needed to ensure the long term survival of marine mammals such as
whales and dolphins.'

The full text of the piece on the BBC site by Erich can be found here.

WDCS's Homes for Whales and Dolphins is a rich source of information on protected areas, as is the WDCS supported site Cetacean Habitat where you can find details of the world's existing cetacean protected areas
